WRC World Resources Company GmbH (WRC) is a certified recycling company that has been operating a facility for the recycling of metal-containing waste approved according to §§ 4, 10 BImSchG since 1999. Our operational site is subject to the extended obligations of the Major Accident Ordinance (12. BImSchV).

We have implemented extensive safety measures to prevent operational disruptions or incidents, or to limit their effects:

• Regular inspections and cleaning of storage areas and traffic routes
• Recurring checks by internal and external experts
• Regular training of our employees, including emergency response
• Constant telephone availability of responsible WRC employees
• Development of a concept for the prevention of incidents and an alarm and hazard defense plan

In case of an incident, you will be alerted by loudspeaker announcements from the police or fire department. Please observe the following important rules of conduct:

• Stay away from the accident site
• Follow the instructions of the police and fire department
• Close windows and doors and turn off ventilation or air conditioning systems
• Inform neighbors and help other people if necessary
• Wait for further news and instructions from authorities and emergency services
