Surface Technology Germany will take place in Stuttgart from May 5th-7th 2026.

KaWumZ – this is the training and job fair for Wurzen and the Wurzen region, which will take place for the second time on October 25, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Magnus-Gottfried-Lichtwer-Gymnasium in Wurzen. Students looking for an apprenticeship are just as welcome to KaWumZ as anyone looking for a (new) job. On this day, we will present our apprenticeship offers for the coming year and vacant positions for skilled workers. You can find more information about the KaWumZ training and job fair here.

This year, WRC will once again be participating in the CHANCE training fair (Stand 53), which will take place on Saturday, September 06, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Stadthalle Oschatz. There we will inform interested students from the surrounding secondary schools and high schools about our in-company training opportunities.

WRC World Resources Company GmbH puts a new chemical-physical treatment plant (CPA) for metal-containing liquids into operation. Parallel to the three plants for the production of metal concentrates, whose annual capacity amounts to up to 45,000 t, another treatment line was built in the Wurzen plant of WRC GmbH in 2015. With the start of the trial operation at the beginning of March 2016, not only solid, pasty and dry residues can be processed, but also liquid residues.

On Friday, September 9, 2022, as part of the Days of Industrial Culture, we will open our factory gates from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for interested students from the surrounding secondary schools and high schools to inform them about our training opportunities in scientific and technical professions.

Surface Technology Germany will take place in Stuttgart from June 21 - 23, 2022. Surface Technology is an international trade fair for surfaces & coatings. Around 300 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will present their technological solutions, innovations and trends in application-oriented surface technology at this trade fair. However, you will also find specialist information on environmental protection and recycling services, as offered by WRC.

Since 2011, we have been operating a rainwater utilization system that is operated with the collected water from the roof surfaces. The operating principle is explained in the attached illustration.

The WRC rainwater system was awarded by the Environmental Alliance Saxony.

At the end of 2010, WRC received confirmation from DEKRA, the recognized vehicle testing institute in Germany, for the safe loading of big bags on trucks. Customers and freight forwarders can face possible load checks with confidence when using this lashing. Extensive tests have shown that the load on the truck remains secure even during evasive maneuvers and emergency braking. WRC World Resources Company GmbH installs 2200 modules with max.171 kilowatt output

On November 30, 2009, a 3rd production plant was commissioned at WRC. The core components of the plant were supplied and installed by the Danish company Anhydro. Local companies were commissioned with the delivery and installation of the plant periphery, including Heinsch Metall- und Anlagenbau GmbH, Mügelner Maschinenbau GmbH and Elektroanlagen Lutz Seifert. A 3rd plant was necessary in order to meet the increased demand of industry for disposal services with an expansion of processing capacity. At the same time, this plant also offers the possibility of processing liquids from the surface coating industry. This increases the total processing capacity of the 3 WRC plants to a total of 45,000t/year.

On September 6, the most successful companies in the 14th nationwide competition for the "Grand Prize of the Mittelstand 2008" from Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt were honored at a festive gala at the Hotel Maritim in Magdeburg.
