Climate Neutral.

The employees and management of WRC World Resources Company GmbH have been committed to protecting the environment and recovering non-renewable resources for decades. The increased use of rail transport is just as much a part of the measures as the installation of solar modules for energy generation.

The biggest challenge at present is the issue of global warming. The main causes are the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and gas. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change estimates that warming will continue to increase if immediate, decisive, and consistent action is not taken.

To set an example, WRC World Resources Company GmbH has decided to use renewable climate-neutral energy in the long term. From the main energy sources of electricity and gas to the diesel or liquid gas used, we only use energy sources from environmentally certified suppliers.

CO2 neutrality begins with procurement. Our green electricity comes from our own solar cells or sustainable systems of renewable energies that comply with the prescribed environmental standards and are provided with presentable climate certificates. We also rely on climate-neutral suppliers for other energy sources and therefore follow the Kyoto Protocol drawn up in 1997, which was updated by the Paris Protocol that came into force on November 7, 2016.

We have offset the CO2 emissions caused by logistics, business trips, and our employees' commutes to work by purchasing certificates from a project in Mongolia.

We believe that WRC World Resources Company GmbH is the first company in our industry to be 100% climate-neutral. These efforts are supported internally by the implementation of the ISO 50001 standard, which is part of the certified management system of WRC World Resources Company GmbH.
